Core Working Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 7:30am – 12:30pm on Friday

As a Senior Assembly Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role involves operating assembly line machinery, inspecting products, and training and coaching team members. You will also deputise for Team Leaders in their absence, making this a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to step up and take on additional leadership responsibilities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Set up, operate, and monitor assembly line machinery for efficient production.
- Inspect assembled products to ensure they meet high-quality standards.
- Identify and resolve issues with machinery and processes to minimise downtime.
- Follow and enforce all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of production data and equipment performance.
- Train and coach operators to enhance their skills and ensure effective use of equipment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Carry out equipment setup and autonomous maintenance with support from the Manufacturing Engineering Team.
- Deputise for Team Leaders as needed.
About You:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with peers and other departments.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Experience in training and coaching staff to improve performance and product quality.
- Ability to constructively challenge behaviours and attitudes that do not align with company values.
