About the Role:
We are searching for a Design Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of domestic and non-domestic projects through meticulous technical, compliance, and administrative support.
As a Design Administrator, you will work at the heart of the design process, overseeing technical compliance, project scheduling, and pre-construction administration. From coordinating specialist surveys to managing key stakeholder communications, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards across every stage of the design lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include project onboarding, administration of key documentation, and liaising with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to deliver seamless, efficient processes. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and have a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project onboarding and project programming using Microsoft Project.
- Manage client document management systems (DMS) for retrieving and uploading documents.
- Coordinate specialist surveys with internal teams and external subcontractors.
- Administration of mining searches, Coal Authority permissions, and Section 6(3) commencement documents.
- Administer DNO applications and liaise with relevant authorities (Coal Authority, Environment Agency).
- Coordinate requests for information (RFIs).
- Ensure efficient flow of pre-design and pre-construction data.
- Collate and manage all pre-construction requirements for clients and subcontractors.
- Produce monthly reports on design spend and forecast future costs.

About You:
We are searching for someone who brings energy, enthusiasm, and precision to every task. Whether it’s coordinating permissions with regulatory bodies or optimising project timelines, the successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering safe, compliant, and high-performing designs for domestic and non-domestic projects.
- Proven experience in Design Coordination, ideally within construction, architecture or similar industries.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented with excellent multitasking abilities.
- Strong team player with exceptional communication skills.
- Confident IT literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Motivated to refine and optimise processes while maintaining a curiosity for researching and mapping pre-construction workflows.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration.
