Programme Manager – Superloop (Flagship Heat Network Project)
Work Base: Flexible (ideally commutable to London)
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Contract: 6-Month Fixed Term Contract – with strong potential for extension or to become permanent
Lead the future of clean heating with Kensa
The UK’s heating system is outdated, costing both people and the planet too much. At Kensa, we’ve been leading the charge since 1999, manufacturing and installing affordable, green heating solutions with minimal impact on the electricity grid. We’re responsible for over half the ground source heat pumps installed in the UK. Our networked heat pumps are the cheapest, cleanest way to heat and cool millions of homes and businesses, and even entire towns. By 2040, up to 8,000 homes a week could be connecting to these heat networks, eliminating 17Mt of CO2 a year, equivalent to that of over half of all UK flights. In leading the networked heat pump sector, Kensa will expand to install 50,000 heat pumps a year and employ 1,500. It’s time to leave high bills and emissions behind.
We’re making heating better - for people, for the planet, and for the future.
What is Superloop?
A world-first project in partnership with Dataglow (an Octopus Energy company), Superloop will use waste heat from a data centre to decarbonise an entire village. This is not just a pilot, it’s a blueprint for how we heat millions of homes sustainably.
As Programme Manager, you will lead Kensa’s delivery of Superloop – driving progress from detailed design through to build readiness by the end of 2025, and into the next phase in 2026.
What you’ll be doing
In this high-impact, high-visibility role, you’ll take charge of one of the UK’s most exciting decarbonisation programmes. You’ll be responsible for coordinating internal teams and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of this industry-first project.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Owning and driving the delivery plan from now through build readiness, aligning design, supply chain, customer engagement, and customer agreements.
- Maintaining project momentum, solving problems before they escalate and ensuring clear accountability across stakeholders.
- Reporting with clarity to Kensa leadership and external partners like Dataglow and Octopus Energy, keeping everyone aligned on progress, risks, and resourcing.
- Leading cross-functional collaboration, ensuring all parts of the business are pulling together to hit ambitious programme milestones.
- Capturing learning and building repeatable processes that enable us to scale this model to thousands of homes and communities across the UK.
- Shaping the customer experience with an intuitive, accessible journey from awareness to sign-up, ensuring public engagement is as strong as the technical delivery.
This is a fast-moving role with real impact, not just on the ground in one community, but on the blueprint for how the UK transitions to clean, affordable heat at scale.
This is a 6-month FTC with strong expectations of extension or permanency as our momentum grows and the Superloop project evolves.

- Proactive communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels, communicate effectively across teams, and develop strong partnerships with external stakeholders.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and applying structured problem-solving.
- Genuine passion for clean energy, innovation, and infrastructure that matters.
