Help shape the future of clean heating
The UK’s heating system is outdated - costing people and the planet too much. Since 1999, Kensa has been transforming how homes and communities are heated and cooled through affordable, low-carbon ground source heat pump solutions.
Today, we’re responsible for over half of the UK’s ground source heat pump installations. Our networked heat pump systems are one of the cleanest, most cost-effective ways to decarbonise heat at scale, and by 2040, up to 8,000 homes a week could be connecting to these networks.
Join us and play a meaningful role in accelerating the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
The Role
As FP&A Lead, you’ll be at the centre of Kensa’s financial planning and strategic insight. You’ll lead budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and performance reporting while working with senior stakeholders across the organisation. Your work will directly influence decision-making, support strategic initiatives such as M&A and fundraising, and enhance how we communicate performance to leadership and investors.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys blending financial rigour with commercial insight, improving reporting processes, and shaping strategy in a purpose-driven organisation.
What you’ll do
Planning, Forecasting & Analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting process and partner with senior management throughout planning cycles.
- Own ongoing forecasting and support business leaders in understanding performance against targets.
- Build and evaluate key sensitivities, scenarios, and “what-if” analyses.
Strategic Finance & Projects
- Support the assessment of potential M&A opportunities and contribute to upcoming fundraising activity.
- Own and develop financial models, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Partner with senior leaders to shape financial decisions, including pricing and go/no-go decisions for new projects and investments.
Reporting, Insights & BI
- Enhance business MI and develop more effective performance reporting tools.
- Use BI tools (e.g., Power BI or similar) to improve reporting depth, speed, and visibility of financial insights.
- Prepare management briefings, dashboards, and Board-level presentations.
What you'll bring
- Proven FP&A experience in a fast-moving or growth-stage environment.
- Professional accounting qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Experience using BI tools to elevate reporting and insights.
- Ability to present financial information clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
- A collaborative, proactive approach and confidence partnering with senior leaders.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement and driving positive change.
