Salary: Circa £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience) + Benefits
We're looking for an Advanced R&D Engineer to help shape the next generation of heat pump technology and support the UK's journey to net zero.

About the Role
We’re looking for an Advanced R&D Engineer to join our team and help drive innovation, quality, and continuous improvement across both Existing Product Development and Manufacturing Engineering.
In this varied and hands-on role, you'll split your time roughly 50/50 between supporting live products and enhancing manufacturing processes - ideal for someone who enjoys practical engineering and solving real-world problems. You’ll play a key part in engineering changes, problem-solving, testing, investigations, and supporting the development of production equipment and tooling.
What you’ll be doing
Existing Product Development - supporting product improvements and real-world performance
Complete Engineering Change Instructions.
Investigate and validate design changes through tests, experiments, and fault diagnosis.
Support improvements to systems and processes.
Lead quality investigations, collaborating with multiple department heads to resolve factory and in‑field issues.
Provide ad-hoc support to New Product Development projects.
Manufacturing Engineering Support - improving how our products are built
Provide support for bespoke factory equipment (final test, pressure test, leak tests).
Assist in the productionisation of NPD projects, including designing/building jigs and fixtures and supporting trial builds.
Contribute to manufacturing process development and continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring
Detail-oriented, organised, and quick to grasp new ideas.
Skilled in SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
Experience working hands-on in a workshop environment.
Desirable
Experience designing or working with low-voltage electrical systems.
Brazing and soldering skills.
