Location: Chacewater, Truro
Salary: £13.45 per hour

Build products that make a difference. Develop your skills. Be part of a more sustainable future.
At Kensa, we’re helping transform the way we heat our homes and buildings. We design and manufacture ground source heat pumps and related products that support more sustainable, energy-efficient and affordable heating and cooling.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Assembly Operator to join our Production Team in Chacewater. Whether you already have assembly experience or have developed practical skills in another setting, this is an opportunity to learn, grow and contribute to products that make a real difference.
If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in getting the details right and like working with others to achieve a shared goal, we’d love to hear from you.
The role
As an Assembly Operator, you’ll help build our heat pumps and ancillary products, with quality and safety at the heart of everything you do.
Your work will involve following technical drawings and work instructions, carrying out mechanical and electrical assembly, and testing products as required. You’ll work alongside colleagues to meet production targets and maintain high standards.
You’ll receive training from day one and have opportunities to develop your skills across different assembly disciplines, including brazing and silver soldering, with support to build your knowledge and experience.
What you’ll be doing
Assemble heat pumps and ancillary products, following technical drawings and work instructions.
Carry out mechanical and electrical assembly and product testing as required.
Inspect products, identify faults and defects, and help maintain high-quality standards.
Report issues and incidents to your Team Leader.
Follow safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment for everyone.
Learn new assembly techniques and develop skills across different areas, including opportunities to train in brazing and silver soldering.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets and deliver quality products.
What we’re looking for
Clear communication skills, with the ability to share information with colleagues and other departments, verbally and in writing.
An eye for detail and the ability to identify faults or inconsistencies.
Practical skills, including the coordination and dexterity needed for hands-on assembly tasks.
A curious, problem-solving approach and an interest in understanding how things work.
A collaborative approach and a willingness to learn new skills and work across different assembly disciplines.
Previous assembly or manufacturing experience may be helpful, but practical skills gained in other settings can be valuable too. You’ll receive training from day one, so we’re interested in what you can bring and your willingness to develop.
What we offer
We want Kensa to be a place where people feel supported, can develop their skills and take pride in the work they do. When you join us, you can expect:
Generous annual leave: 25 days, increasing to 30 days after five years, plus bank holidays.
Learning and development: Training from day one, with opportunities tailored to your career path.
Wellbeing support: Free, 24/7 access to an independent, confidential Employee Assistance Programme for you and your immediate family.
Private healthcare: Available after one year of service.
Company pension: A workplace pension scheme with employer contributions.
Purposeful work: Be part of a collaborative team helping deliver more sustainable, energy-efficient and affordable heating and cooling.
